If I say nothing; how will they know? If I do nothing; how will things change?

It’s so easy to become complacent, to stay behind our four walls and behind our fences. God has called us out among the people. He has called us to help, to serve, to set free those that are in bondage, to heal the hurting, and to befriend the friendless. To Love Our Neighbor.
Trust me when I tell you that I am preaching to the choir. There are times that I say, “but Lord, did you see what they did? Did you hear what they said to me?” They don’t deserve my kindness! They don’t deserve my friendship! I’m a Christian! You know how they are! You know they lie, cheat, and steal!
WOW! How awesome am I? Never forget where you came from!
Jesus went out among the people. Just look at the crew he hung out with. Could you imagine if Jesus would have stayed home and been like, “I’ll just stay at home and mind my own business. Maybe make a table or a chair. People are just too mean and ugly nowadays, it’s not safe God.” No! He knew the cost and it was too high. He knew His calling.
Don’t be complacent. Don’t think “there’s nothing I can do”. Jesus called all of us. So, even if it’s baking a pie for someone who just moved in or inviting someone to dinner you know is having a rough time, it’s an opportunity to show the love of Jesus. Don’t miss it, the cost is too high.
